Hart's Holt Arts and Crafts Day

The citizens of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire would like to invite you to join
their day of arts and crafts. An informal series of talks as well as space for
your own projects, at a venue just 15 minutes walk from St Albans City station.

We have talks and classes on the following:

How to get started in making your own alcoholic drinks
Mediaeval Apothecaries and their trade
Period embroidery techniques
How to create your SCA persona, and what it can do for you
Booking is essential, please register below.
Dress: medieval where you have it, please email hartsholtsca@gmail.com if you need a loan of something to wear and general size.
Catering: potluck supper – we chip in a dish towards a group feast. There is a Morrisons supermarket nearby. For anyone fancying to try out a period recipe, we recommend www.godecookery.com as a starting point, and suggest 4-6 portions as a guide. Please take note of ingredients for allergy purposes.
Cost: £10 per adult. £5 Concessions; U16s free.

Once registered, we will email you with details for cheques and bank transfers. Due to venue terms, we need up front payments please.
Location:
Car parking is limited. There are buses from Hatfield and St Albans City stations. It is a 10 minute walk from St Albans City station going east on the Hatfield Road.
Please note:

Bring your own feast gear, ie plates and cutlery.

The site is discreetly wet (alcohol is allowed but please keep it in period containers and consumption should be discreet).
